THE HISTORY

Cavalieri Mirage Cars is a brand owned by Cavalieri Garage & Co. dedicated to experimentation, exploring automotive and motorsport technologies and philosophies in line with our values. The brand inherits the legacy of the startup Mirage Motors Modena, founded in 2020 by our founder Simone Marchetti to bring to life a one-off model: the Mirage GT, which will continue to play a fundamental role within the project.

THE PROJECT

Officially born in 2020 under the name Mirage Motors Modena, it has deeper roots that combine the expertise of various entities that are now part of the service pool of Cavalieri Garage & Co.

In 2018, the first drafts of what became the first "Mirage" creation, the GT, were born, initially named Project SR-M, laying the groundwork for collaborations and the network that now form the structure of our brand.

The idea has always been the same: to address sustainability without following market trends towards electrification and to go beyond conventions by exploring and experimenting with new solutions for road and competition cars.

PROTOYPE AND BEYOND

By defining workflows and studying the best solutions, the construction of the first prototype has been completed in 2020. The project then has its first model: the Cavalieri Mirage GT.

The other innovation lies in the open-source approach, a new cornerstone concept of Cavalieri Mirage Cars. The idea of sharing our work with a selected community and enabling other professionals to use them as a basis for developing further concepts and innovations is crucial in a period that requires high standards in the pursuit of real sustainability.

The GT is now available on the market in kit configuration and in "whi-label" mode. Everything that will happen in the future will follow our fundamental principles linked to passion, the desire to grow in a conscious way and the need to bring true innovation that does not bow to market trends.

PRESTIGIOUS CUSTOMERS

In 2022, the Mirage GT was used by the German Aerospace Center DLR as the basis for the development of the zero-emission prototype ZEDU-1.

As part of its Zero Emission Drive Unit, the Generation 1 (ZEDU-1) project, the German Aerospace Center (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt; DLR) and the engineering company HWA have developed and successfully tested a road vehicle that enables mobility almost entirely without emissions.

The electric car largely reduces the emission of particulate matter and microplastics caused by the abrasion of tyres and brakes. This makes it the most environmentally friendly road vehicle in operation worldwide. DLR and HWA presented the prototype to the public for the first time on September 28th, 2022 in Stuttgart. The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs, Labour and Tourism has invested six million euros in the project.
