REPORT: EXTREMA IRON SERIES ROUND 4 2024

The commitments in the Iron Series at Extrema Kart Speedway, organized by Futura Corse, continue, with the fourth round of the season taking place on Sunday, July 21st. ASD Cavalieri Garage was present with Simone Marchetti among the 15 drivers registered for the event.

RACE

The heat, with temperatures nearing 35 degrees Celsius (95 degrees Fahrenheit), made the race format challenging. Qualifying ended with Simone Marchetti in ninth place on the grid, struggling to find the right slipstream and traffic pack for a good session. The race started off quite well, with a solid recovery of four positions up to the mandatory pit stop. Unfortunately, after the kart change, evident problems with the rear end of the vehicle surfaced, forcing Marchetti to maintain a pace almost a second per lap slower than his direct competitors in the mid-pack. The final result, unfortunately, was a twelfth-place finish.
