Toyota dominated the 2026 6 Hours of Barcelona, secured a remarkable one-two finish, and mathematically clinched the FIA World Endurance Championship Manufacturers' title with one race remaining. The No. 8 TR010 Hybrid of Sébastien Buemi, Brendon Hartley, and Ryo Hirakawa finished ahead of the sister No. 7 car driven by Mike Conway, Kamui Kobayashi, and Nyck de Vries, completing a perfect day for the Japanese manufacturer. The No. 50 Ferrari 499P of Antonio Fuoco, Miguel Molina, and Nicklas Nielsen finished third, emerging as the closest challenger to the two Toyotas.

The TR010 Hybrids' superiority became particularly evident during the second half of the race, when the two factory entries gradually extended their advantage over the chasing pack. With approximately two hours remaining, a Virtual Safety Car triggered by Heart of Racing's No. 27 Aston Martin going off at Turn 7 briefly revived Ferrari's hopes.

The neutralization reduced the gaps, but Toyota immediately reestablished its dominance at the restart, returning to a pace the competition simply could not match. Antonio Fuoco attempted to stay within reach of the Japanese cars but was unable to seriously challenge their performance.

The No. 50 Ferrari gradually lost ground to Ryo Hirakawa and Kamui Kobayashi, driving the No. 8 and No. 7 Toyotas, respectively. Both drivers managed their advantage without mistakes, turning the closing stages into a controlled run toward a one-two finish.

The battle behind them was considerably more intense, particularly for the positions just outside the podium. Earl Bamber attempted to pressure Dries Vanthoor's No. 15 BMW, but both drivers lost ground to AF Corse's N. 83 Ferrari, with Robert Kubica proving particularly effective after the restart.

With no further neutralizations, the leading positions remained unchanged through the final stint. The No. 8 Toyota crossed the finish line ahead of the No. 7, securing the 2026 Manufacturers' World Championship for the Japanese brand and confirming a level of superiority that left little room for debate in Barcelona.

For Buemi, Hartley, and Hirakawa, the result marked their third victory of the season following wins at Imola and Fuji. It also carried major championship implications: with the Manufacturers' title already decided, the two Toyota crews will head to Monza to fight directly for the Hypercar Drivers' World Championship.

Ferrari, meanwhile, had to settle for the final step of the podium thanks to a solid and consistent performance from Fuoco, Nielsen, and Molina. The No. 50 499P lacked the outright pace to challenge Toyota but still delivered an important result ahead of the rest of the Hypercar field.

The No. 38 Cadillac finished fourth, followed by AF Corse's No. 83 Ferrari and the No. 12 Cadillac. The No. 15 BMW took seventh ahead of the No. 36 Alpine, No. 009 Aston Martin, and No. 35 Alpine. The remaining entries finished further back, including the Peugeots, which never became serious contenders for the leading positions.

Porsche claimed victory in LMGT3 and kept the World Championship battle alive heading into the season finale. The No. 92 Porsche 911 GT3 R EVO of Yasser Shahin, Riccardo Pera, and Richard Lietz delivered an impressive performance at the Spanish circuit, collecting crucial points ahead of the final round.

Garage 59's No. 10 McLaren, driven by Anthony McIntosh and Parker Thompson, finished second, while WRT's No. 69 BMW of Antares Au, Tom Fleming, and Marvin Kirchhöfer completed the podium.

The LMGT3 championship remains undecided, largely because of the result recorded by the No. 33 Corvette. Jonny Edgar, Nicky Catsburg, and Ben Keating could only manage seventh place, postponing their opportunity to mathematically secure the title.

Barcelona therefore delivered one definitive championship outcome while leaving two major battles unresolved. Toyota has already secured the Manufacturers' World Championship, but both the Hypercar Drivers' title and the LMGT3 crown will be decided at the final race of the season.

The FIA World Endurance Championship now heads to Monza for its season finale, where the remaining 2026 world titles will be awarded.
