MOTOR VALLEY FEST 2024

The sixth edition of the Motor Valley Fest, held from May 2 to 5, 2024, was a great success, attracting over 70,000 visitors and solidifying its role as a key event for car and motorcycle enthusiasts and the automotive industry. After achieving results that met initial expectations, the organizers of the festival, dedicated to the Motor Valley of Emilia-Romagna, have announced that next year’s edition will take place from May 22 to 25, 2025, in Modena.

The streets and squares of Modena were filled with people eager to see up close the most iconic cars and motorcycles, offering a complete immersion into the world of high-performance motors. The event's heart was the Courtyard of Honor at the Ducal Palace, home to the Modena Military Academy, which hosted nearly 50,000 visitors over three days for the "Best of Motor Valley" showcase. This exhibition featured an exclusive selection of supercars, motorcycles, and vintage vehicles from the most prestigious brands of the Emilia-Romagna Motor Valley.

Modena's streets and squares set the stage for parades and exhibitions, including the 24th edition of the Concours d’Elegance Trofeo Salvarola Terme, featuring 66 exclusive vehicles that departed from Salvarola Terme. The Motor Valley Fest also saw the participation of 200 cars and motorcycles from the Motor Fest 2024, which traveled through Romagna, the Romagna Riviera, and Via Emilia before arriving in Modena.

Events organized by Motor1.com Italy, featuring the "Nel Garage di..." format in Piazza Roma, captivated audiences both in-person and online. Themed exhibitions such as "Movie Cars," participation from popular YouTubers like Carmagheddon, and the gathering of Fiat "Pandini" attracted thousands of people, with hundreds of thousands of views on social media. The Modena Marzaglia Racetrack was a highlight over the weekend, hosting events like Invictus Corse's "Hot Laps" and the Modena Racing Fest, which collectively attracted over 2,000 attendees.

The opening conference of the Motor Valley Fest, held at the Pavarotti-Freni Theater, reaffirmed its importance as a networking event for industry professionals, bringing together institutions, top managers, companies, and representatives from the education sector to discuss topics such as sustainability, artificial intelligence, digitization, and new forms of sustainable mobility. The event featured more than 166 international speakers and over 700 attendees in the hall, while more than 1,000 people participated in the talks in person, not counting those who joined via streaming.

The "Innovation & Talents" Talent Talks were also a great success, with 1,500 attendees and 1,000 streaming connections from various countries, featuring 42 startups. These sessions provided students with opportunities to interact with representatives from leading Motor Valley and automotive industry brands, including Maserati, Bosch, Pagani, Tesla, Dallara, Ducati, Automobili Lamborghini, Ferrari, and others.

During the first two days of the festival, Piazza Grande hosted an exhibition of Formula SAE cars designed by various Italian universities, including the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, University of Pisa, University of Pavia, Politecnico di Milano, University of Padua, University of Bologna, University of Brescia, University of Salento, and the University of Rome. Young participants also enjoyed the "F1 in Schools Italy" event, a competition among 28 teams from secondary schools, which precedes the national final scheduled for June 16 at the Dallara Academy in Varano de’ Melegari.

Art and automotive culture enthusiasts flocked to Motor Valley museums, open for the occasion, including the Enzo Ferrari Museum, Horacio Pagani Museum, and Maserati, as well as exhibitions like the one at Palazzo Solmi, "High Speed – Speed and Fashion in Racing," which attracted over 4,000 visitors.

Among the standout events, TEDxModena was sold out, featuring 17 speakers from academia and entertainment, with over 700 attendees. The festival also attracted international attention, with the presence of prestigious lifestyle magazines and influencers in Modena, thanks to an Educational Tour organized by APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna to explore the highlights of the Modena area.
