From October 6th to 11th, the Modena Cento Ore returns, the celebrated international competition for classic cars that attracts enthusiasts and participants from around the globe.
Now in its 23rd edition, the event, hosted in the traditional Canossa style, features an exciting route spanning over 1,000 kilometers across Emilia and Tuscany. Competitors will enjoy both circuit races, closed-road trials, and top-level hospitality.
With a maximum of 100 participants, the event is limited to teams from around the world. Cars in the Speed section must comply with safety regulations set by the International Automobile Federation. The Modena Cento Ore stands out for its unique format, allowing entrants to choose between the Speed or Regularity categories. Rankings in the Speed category are based on cumulative race times, while the Regularity category requires precision down to a tenth of a second, following specific rules.
The Misano World Circuit and Mugello Circuit will host practice sessions and official races, while 11 special trials will take place on closed-road sections. In keeping with tradition, the exact special trials are kept secret until the event begins, adding an element of suspense.
Each team will receive a detailed roadbook outlining the route, giving the co-driver a significant role. On Sunday, October 6, starting at 8:30 a.m., the participating cars will be on display at Parco Federico Fellini in Rimini. Meanwhile, accreditation, technical and sporting checks, and a participant briefing will take place at the Grand Hotel of Rimini.
The journey kicks off on Monday, October 7, with the first car setting off toward San Marino. From there, three special trials await, on a route that includes stops in Arezzo, Anghiari, and Chiusi della Verna, finishing at the Misano World Circuit for night races. On Tuesday, October 8, the second race will take place on the Misano Circuit, this time during the day. The route will then continue toward Forlì and Faenza, crossing the Apennines with two more special trials before ending the stage in Florence, where the cars will be on display in Piazzale Michelangelo.
After an overnight stay in Florence, the competition will resume on Wednesday, October 9, on Tuscan roads with four special trials before returning to the city for a Gala Soirée in the historic center. On the final day, participants will compete in practice sessions and races at the Mugello Circuit, followed by the last two special trials en route to Modena, where the award ceremony will take place in front of the magnificent Palazzo Ducale.
