A tragic accident that occurred on Monday, August 19, claimed the life of Luca Persiani, a former GT driver who was still very active as a coach in the closed-wheel racing industry.

Luca, 40 years old, had recently been working primarily in the United States. He was on vacation in Frattura, a hamlet of the municipality of Scanno (in the province of L'Aquila). During an outing with a friend, he decided to go for a hike on the mountain that rises above the famous heart-shaped lake.

The team at Cavalieri Garage extends their condolences to Luca’s family, as well as to the many colleagues and friends who accompanied him throughout his motorsport journey.
