The 2024 sporting season for Cavalieri Garage kicked off with a double-header in the karting rental specialty. On Sunday, March 3rd, two races were held at the Extrema Kart Speedway in Massa Finalese, with Simone Marchetti representing our sports club.
Both events, organized by Futura Corse, served as a precursor to what will be this year's sporting activities for ASD Cavalieri Garage. The club will be involved in multiple specialties, to be announced shortly, with karting rental playing a significant role.
EXTREMA RACE SPRINT
In the morning, the Extrema Race Sprint took place, marking the season's inaugural race. This event, held annually to celebrate the opening of the Extrema Kart Speedway, also introduced the renewed fleet of CRG Centurion Senior karts powered by Honda GX270 engines, available for the next two years. Twenty-four pilots took part, divided into two heats, with Simone Marchetti securing an excellent front row start in qualifying, just a few hundredths off the pole position. The Group A Race 1, covering a distance of 12 laps, was fiercely contested and unlucky for Marchetti, as he was assigned a kart with top speed issues, relegating him to eighth position and subsequently demoted to Group B for Race 2.
It was in the Final B, also covering a 12-lap distance, that Marchetti redeemed himself, starting from pole position and maintaining the lead until the end of the race.

EXTREMA ADO RACE
In the afternoon, it was time for the Extrema ADO Race, a race supported by Futura Corse and Extrema Kart in aid of the ADO Foundation of Ferrara, which provides assistance and relief to people with advanced-stage illnesses. Twenty percent of the registration proceeds from the 15 participating pilots were donated to the foundation.
After a tightly contested qualifying session, Race 1, a single heat of 12 laps, witnessed an exciting battle for third place, with Nicolas Sinigallia narrowly edging out Simone Marchetti, who staged a comeback from seventh position with numerous overtakes in the midfield pack formed between third and eighth place.
Race 2 saw a calmer but equally thrilling situation, with Simone Marchetti finishing consistently in fourth position, distant from the top 3 but managing to fend off numerous drivers behind him.
