A LIFE IN MOTORSPORT
Simone Marchetti Cavalieri is also active as a subjective driver, contributing to vehicle testing and development programs through direct driving evaluation and feedback.
His work in this area is based on practical experience gained over the years in competitive karting and formula racing programs, where the development of driving sensitivity and the ability to interpret vehicle dynamics became a central part of his technical approach.
As a subjective driver, he focuses on the qualitative assessment of vehicle and motorsport simulators behavior, analyzing aspects such as balance, responsiveness, feedback, and overall drivability. This type of evaluation complements engineering data by providing insights that can only emerge through direct interaction between the driver and the vehicle.
Alongside testing activities, this experience has also supported the development of original automotive projects, including those created with the startup Mirage Motors Modena, now Cavalieri Automobili, an initiative dedicated to the design and development of open-source vehicles. Within these projects, the role of the subjective driver becomes part of a broader process that combines experimentation, design, and hands-on development, with the aim of exploring alternative approaches to vehicle engineering and performance.
