24 HOURS OF SPA: A LEGENDARY COMEBACK FOR THE PORSCHE DRIVEN BY FELLER, BUUS, AND PREINING

Ricardo Feller, Bastian Buus, and Thomas Preining claimed victory in the 2026 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps after one of the most unpredictable editions in recent memory. The trio delivered the win for the No. 80 Lionspeed GP Porsche 992 GT3-R EVO in the event counting toward both the Intercontinental GT Challenge and the GT World Challenge Europe Powered by AWS.

The achievement becomes even more remarkable considering where the race began: the winning car was forced to start from pit lane following an engine change completed before the start of the event. From that point forward, the team built an extraordinary comeback through pace, execution, and the ability to stay clear of trouble in a race that eliminated many contenders.

For Feller, Buus, and Preining, this marks a first-ever overall victory both in the top GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup category and at the 24 Hours of Spa itself. It was also a breakthrough triumph for Lionspeed GP, while Porsche secured its ninth overall win in the event and the first since 2020.

Finishing behind the No. 80 entry was the No. 48 Winward Racing Mercedes AMG GT3 EVO of Maro Engel, Lucas Auer, and Luca Stolz, while the No. 51 AF Corse Ferrari 296 GT3 EVO of Alessio Rovera, Tommaso Mosca, and Nicklas Nielsen completed the podium.

Ferrari leaves Spa with mixed emotions and a sense of missed opportunity. The No. 51 machine spent the race fighting back after suffering two punctures that heavily compromised its run and resulted in losing a lap. Even so, the Prancing Horse managed to return to podium contention until the decisive stages of the race.

Fourth place went to the No. 22 Schumacher CLRT Porsche ahead of the No. 50 AF Corse Ferrari. Sixth was the No. 46 Team WRT BMW M4 GT3 EVO shared by Valentino Rossi, Max Hesse, and Dan Harper.

One of the defining moments of the 2026 edition was the fate of the No. 32 BMW, which retired dramatically on the final lap after developing a technical issue at Turn 9. A brutal ending for one of the fastest and most competitive cars of the entire week.

Ferrari still leaves Belgium with reasons to celebrate thanks to victories in the support classes: Silver Cup honors went to Rafael Duran, Dylan Medler, David Perel, and Alessandro Balzan with Rinaldi Racing, while Bronze Cup victory belonged to Kessel Racing’s No. 74 entry driven by Mathys Jaubert, Ben Tuck, Dustin Blattner, and Dennis Marschall.

ROWE Racing BMW claimed Gold Cup success with Jens Klingmann, Tim Tramnitz, and Ugo De Wilde, while PRO-Am victory went to the No. 0 JMR Corvette driven by H.H. Prince Jefri Ibrahim, H.H. Prince Abu Bakar Ibrahim, Ben Green, and Jordan Love.
