From September 13th to 15th, the Turin Auto Show took place, an open-air event that brought the heart of the city to life.
From the scenic Carlo Felice and Castello squares, through Via Roma, Piazza San Carlo, and the charming Piazzetta Reale, visitors explored the latest innovations from 43 car manufacturers. Among the exhibited vehicles were prototypes by renowned coachbuilders, motorsport icons, and unique models. The event, with free entry and hours from 9 AM to 11 PM, offered a delightful walk among automotive wonders.
The show’s program, presented at the OGR in Turin by Andrea Levy, president of the Turin Auto Show, saw the participation of key institutional figures, including Alberto Cirio, president of the Piedmont Region, Stefano Lo Russo, mayor of Turin, and Piergiorgio Re, president of the Automobile Club of Turin. The opening was made even more special by a parade of historic vehicles, showcasing two centuries of evolution, from horse-drawn carriages to tomorrow's electric vehicles.
With 150 cars on display, the event showcased a wide range of automotive innovations. Among the special guests, Transportation Minister Matteo Salvini inaugurated the event with a walk through the stands, concluding his visit with selfies and a brief press meeting.
The show’s concept, designed by Andrea Levy, stands out for its simple setups, equal opportunities for exhibitors, and an accessible approach, contrasting with large international fairs that struggle to attract manufacturers. Thanks to free admission and the availability of test drives, the event was warmly received by the public.
"The Turin Auto Show is a grand celebration for everyone," Levy said. "We expect around 500,000 visitors from all over Italy. Turin has a deep connection with the automobile, both historically and economically, as well as in sports. This event not only celebrates that tradition but transforms the city into the capital of motors, design, and innovation for three days, showcasing the excellence of an industry that has strong roots here."
