On Sunday, March 10th, the first round of the Extrema Sprint Series took place, the championship organized by Futura Corse featuring sprint races at the Extrema Kart track in Massa Finalese. It was the first official event for ASD Cavalieri Garage, which this year will field various drivers in the Karting Rental specialty. In this first round, Simone Marchetti (registered for the entire championship) and Jacopo Bondi as wild cards were present, both competing in the Formula Sport category with a race format consisting of 10 minutes of qualifying and two races of 12 laps each.
RACE 1
In wet track conditions, the pre-final wasn't an easy one, with Simone Marchetti making his way up from the tenth starting position to eighth, capitalizing on some errors by other drivers during the first lap. Marchetti also engaged in a thrilling duel with Giovanni Alberto Sala in the final stages of the race. Jacopo Bondi faced difficulties as well, showing proficiency in handling the new CRG Centurion Senior in the wet conditions but unfortunately getting involved in several contacts that pushed him down to thirteenth place.

RACE 2
In the final, with the starting order based on the race 1 standings, track conditions didn't improve, as the rain continued to make grip challenging. Marchetti had a stroke of bad luck, becoming a victim of contact with another driver during the first lap, forcing him to retire after only a few laps. Jacopo Bondi fared better, managing to finish the race, gaining three positions and ultimately securing tenth place after battling with mid-pack drivers.
